Drivers killed in semi-truck crash near Scottsburg identified

SCOTTSBURG, Ind. – Indiana State Police authorities have identified the two commercial truck drivers killed in Monday’s crash on I-65 in Scott County.

The driver of one of the semis was Julianne Reid, 55, of Indianapolis. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe Reid’s semi-truck was slowing to stop at the time of the crash.

The driver of another semi has been identified as 38-year-old Damion Calvin Stewart, of Miami, Florida. He was also pronounced deceased at the scene. It is believed that Stewart’s truck initially struck Reid’s semi from behind before both vehicles caught fire.

The driver in the sleeper of the third tractor-trailed, flown by a medical helicopter to University Hospital in Louisville, is listed in critical condition with severe burn injuries.
