COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Council for Youth Development Bartholomew County (CYD) is accepting designs for this year’s “Shine On” postcard.
Launched in 2017, the “Shine On” postcard campaign has been a celebration of International Youth Day for CYD. In the weeks leading up to International Youth Day, August 12, the Council distributes 8,000 postcards to the community to encourage the local youth.
Local elementary through high school students are asked to submit designs on the CYD website by May 14. Artwork must be an original piece of art and 5 x 7 inches. It should also include the words “Shine On” and fit the theme of encouraging youth to shine.
While the artwork can be completed using any medium, your design must be submitted digitally, and in JPEG form. Other requirements are listed on the CYD website.
The council will select four designs to be used by May 17. Last year’s winners were Natalie Walker, Aizah Warsi, Leo Copeland, and Chetna Raj Yadav.
