COLUMBUS, Ind. – Thanks to United Way of Bartholomew County’s (UWBC) implementation of Covering Kids and Families of Indiana, accessing health insurance and healthcare will be easier for more families.

Covering Kids and Families is a statewide program that provides health insurance navigation to families who need health coverage. This program is implemented at a community level and United Way of Bartholomew County has partnered with Columbus Regional Health (CRH) to help local families.

Free assistance and health coverage navigation are now offered to anyone in Bartholomew County. Licensed navigators can connect individuals to state and federal health plans such as Medicaid, Hoosier Healthwise, and the Healthy Indiana Plan.

Those who want more information about healthcare through Covering Kids and Family can call 812-418-3573, Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or go online here.

UWBC and CRH are helping to ensure everyone reaches their full potential, including access to affordable healthcare services.
