Almost 1300 graduate Ivy Tech Columbus on Friday

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus celebrates the graduation of 1,296 students from its Columbus Service Area at its 54th commencement ceremony this Friday, May 10, at the Columbus North High School Gymnasium. The ceremony begins at 6 p.m.

More than 1,900 credentials will be awarded this year, including 492 associate degrees, 748 technical certificates, and 674 certificates. The top awarded degree programs include business administration, healthcare specialist, cybersecurity, industrial technology, and the Indiana College Core, a block of 30 credit hours of general education, college-level coursework that transfers between all Indiana public colleges and universities.

Ivy Tech Columbus Chancellor Dr. Steven Combs will officiate the commencement exercises. Graduating student Tatem Hodge of Shelbyville will give the student’s address. Hodge is earning an associate degree in agriculture and has been recognized as an outstanding graduate of the Agriculture Program.

An honorary associate of science degree will be presented to Dr. Jim Roberts, BCSC superintendent, and an Ivy Tech Columbus Campus Board of Trustees member.
