NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) has announced the formation of a new task force targeting Fentanyl and Methamphetamine.
The task force officers will be working to disrupt and dismantle the flow of fentanyl, meth and other drugs in Jennings County.
The goal is to protect North Vernon residents, support those suffering from addiction and pursue individuals trafficking dangerous substances like meth and fentanyl and hold them accountable.
“No family should have to lose a loved one to an overdose. Our task force is committed to ending the flow of dangerous drugs into our community and protecting our residents. We need the community’s support to make this mission a success,” said Task Force Commander Graham Heffelfinger on the North Vernon Police Department Facebook page.
The North Vernon Police Department is requesting anonymous tips or information about anyone contributing to the sale or distribution of meth, fentanyl, or other drugs. Submit anonymous tips by calling NVPD at 812-346-2345 or using this link.
