Judge Jon Rohde seeks re-election

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Superior Court 2 Judge Jonathan Rohde announced Thursday that he will pursue a second term as Judge.

He was first elected to serve in 2020. Before that, Judge Rohde retired from the Columbus Police Department, where he served as Chief of Police for almost six years.

Rohde stated, “I have dedicated my career to making Bartholomew County a safe place to live and raise a family. As a judge, I have continued that commitment by applying the law to the facts of each case with a focus on deterring criminal behavior. I was pleased to see the results of two recent studies, one rating Columbus as the safest city in Indiana and the other rating Columbus as the safest small city in America.”

Judge Rohde has participated in several community activities, both past and present.

In 2013, he received the Columbus Young Professionals “20 Under 40 Award.” In 2018, he was honored with the Foundation for Youth’s “It Takes a Village” Award, and last year, he completed the Indiana Graduate Program for Judges.
