COLUMBUS, Ind. – Detectives with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) began a lengthy investigation in May after receiving a report of a sex offense.
The victim, a 17-year-old female, identified the suspect as Nolan Riley, 18, of Columbus.
After the investigation was completed, Riley was taken into custody on the charges of Rape, Child Exploitation, and Criminal Confinement.
The suspect remains incarcerated on a $1 million bond. BCSO said this is a preliminary investigation.
All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
