COLUMBUS, Ind. – If you are interested in the Columbus and Bartholomew County transportation system, the Columbus Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the City of Columbus-Bartholomew County Planning Department are seeking your help as a volunteer.
CAMPO is forming a Citizens Advisory Committee to guide the update of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
The MTP is a comprehensive transportation plan for Bartholomew County that addresses the complete network of options for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders and identifies future transportation improvement projects.
Volunteers will provide input during the update of the MTP and will review draft public input materials, public input results, future development and transportation scenarios for the community, priority transportation improvement projects, and the draft plan document. Up to five in-person meetings are anticipated through July 2026.
For more information and to volunteer, visit columbus.in.gov/planning/mtp/.
Citizens Advisory Committee applications are due August 15.
