GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood alerts motorists that the construction of the roundabouts at Smith Valley and Averitt Roads, and Smith Valley Road and Woodmen Boulevard, will be starting soon.
Road closure signage will be installed in the next few days, with an expected start date of July 26 or later. This road closure will continue for the duration of the project, which is expected to conclude early this fall.
Commuters driving to Southwest Elementary or Greenwood High School will need to detour to the US 31 and Smith Valley intersection to approach the school zone.
Drive carefully and plan for extra time when navigating through the construction zones.
