SEYMOUR, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., is scheduled to begin intersection improvement maintenance on U.S. 50 east of Seymour, on or after Monday, August 18.
The work will take place between North County Road 1225E and North County Road 1250E, about 1.5 miles east of Seymour.
Motorists can expect the following restrictions at this location through late October:
- North County Road 1250E will be closed at U.S. 50
- Eastbound and westbound U.S. 50 will have an 11-foot width limit
- U.S. 50 in that area will have a reduced speed limit of 45 mph
The project is part of a $1.9 million INDOT contract awarded in January 2024. Drivers should slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
