COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) executed a search warrant on a residence in the 7800 block of E. Deer Run, in the Tannehill Pointe Mobile Home Park, on Sunday, just before 5 p.m. The warrant was a result of a series of traffic stops, which resulted in information about the alleged sale of narcotics at the home.

Deputies purportedly found suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl. plus other items consistent with the distribution of narcotics.

Debbora Bozell, 62, of Columbus, was taken into custody and charged with Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. She remains in custody on a 72-hour hold.

In the process of executing the search warrant, BCSO encountered Amanda Gardner, 42, of Columbus, in the driveway of the E. Deer Run residence. During the investigation, it was determined that this new suspect had allegedly just completed a meth transaction with Bozell.

Deputies say that Gardner attempted to discard/destroy suspected narcotics as law enforcement approached. She was arrested on the charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of Paraphernalia. She also remains in custody on a 72-hour hold.

This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
