NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested an alleged intoxicated driver during a traffic stop on Sunday morning, October 5.
At approximately 4:00 a.m., NVPD Officer Alex Holt conducted a traffic stop on County Road 300 North after observing a white Volkswagen at Casey’s General Store on State Road 7 being driven erratically. The vehicle later left the parking lot without tail lights and was seen crossing the center line several times before coming to a stop.
Following the traffic stop, Officer Holt arrested Jose Luis Rosales Munoz for operating while intoxicated after Munoz allegedly displayed signs of impairment, including being unsteady on his feet and admitting to having no valid driver’s license. He was transported to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, where a chemical test was administered.
After a chemical test was admitted at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, Munoz was booked into the Jennings County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Operating While Intoxicated
- Operating Without a License
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
