NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested 5 local sex offenders during a Sex Offender Registry Blitz on Wednesday, October 29.
Jennings County Deputies checked the homes of all 80 registered sex offenders in Jennings County. The purpose of this blitz was to ensure compliance with all Sex Offender Registry rules and regulations.
Deputies arrested 5 individuals for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, which is a Level 5 Felony, including
- Scot Smith, 54, of North Vernon
- Ryan Smigelski, 37, of North Vernon
- Chad Smallwood, 51, of North Vernon
- Roy Fields, 50, of Butlerville
- Justin Owen’s, 31, of North Vernon
