COLUMBUS, Ind. – Authorities at the Columbus Police Department (CPD) say a local man was arrested on Tuesday after a fight was reported at a westside motel.
Officers were dispatched to the Econo Lodge Motel, 161 Carrie Lane, shortly after 8 a.m. When police arrived, they say they observed a man, later identified as Logan Woodard, 20, of Columbus, punching another man in the head. Officers say they ordered Woodard to stop, and when he allegedly continued to fight, CPD deployed a taser.
Woodard was taken into custody a short time later, transported to the Bartholomew County Jail, and charged with resisting law enforcement, and illegal consumption.
