COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) has collaborated with Columbus Regional Health (CRH) as its exclusive provider of sports medicine and athletic training services.
This latest partnership joins the ranks of a robust sports medicine and athletic trainer program already functioning locally at the middle and high school levels. Through the alliance, IUPUC will host dedicated certified athletic training services to support collegiate-level athletes in a variety of sports including cross country, baseball, softball, soccer, and volleyball.
“The success of our athletic program relies heavily on community involvement, and CRH has proven to be a great partner for IUPUC’s nursing program over the years, and we expect that excellence to continue with athletics,” IUPUC Athletic Director, Zach McClellan said.
The new partnership will also extend services such as injury screening and management to student-athletes, as well as a direct line to the orthopedics and sports medicine specialty providers and staff.
