COLUMBUS, Ind. – Thompson Furniture in Columbus is hosting Hoosier Egg Fest this Saturday to benefit the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund. The all-you-can-eat event is from noon to 3 p.m. with a VIP hour at 11 a.m.
Hoosier Egg Fest celebrates food, family, fun, and community involvement. The festival presents a chance for patrons to sample many different foods made on the Big Green Egg.
Attendees are reminded to bring cash to award tips for their favorite dishes prepared by individual teams while sampling the foods. Tipping does two things. The team with the most money raised is awarded the festival championship. More importantly, 100% of the tips raised benefit the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund, which gives presents to children who would not typically receive Christmas gifts.
A second Hoosier Egg Fest this fall supports Turning Point Domestic Violence Services. Turning Point’s mission is to work towards the prevention and elimination of domestic and dating violence.
