COLUMBUS, Ind. – Family Service of Bartholomew County recently announced the appointment of Sue Lamborn as its new Executive Director. With decades of leadership experience in nonprofits and a commitment to mental health advocacy, Lamborn steps into the role with a vision to enhance community wellness through expanded partnerships and innovative service delivery.

Lamborn has lived in Columbus since 1993 and brings a professional background that spans key organizations, including Koala, Behavioral Healthcare Columbus, and Quinco. She was also Director of Independence at Human Services, Inc., and most recently served as the Outreach and Community Relations Manager at Thrive Alliance.

“I am deeply honored to be joining Family Service and eager to partner with the team to build upon its legacy of impact,” said Lamborn.

Family Service of Bartholomew County is dedicated to improving the mental wellness of the community. The agency employs Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), offering bilingual services in English and Spanish.

Its offerings are divided into two key service areas:

  • Clinical – Responsive support strategies for persons experiencing mental health crises
  • Prevention – Proactive education and outreach covering child abuse, suicide awareness, internet safety, substance use, human trafficking, and exploitation prevention
