COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College Columbus Foundation has received a transformative $50,000 gift from Jodi and Mike Engelstad, marking a major milestone in advancing student support and campus development at Ivy Tech Columbus.
In recognition of their generosity, Ivy Tech will name the Health Sciences Debrief Room (Room 210D) in Moravec Hall the “Debrief Room – A Gift from Jodi and Mike Engelstad.” The naming celebrates the Engelstads’ enduring commitment to education and community enrichment.
This multifaceted contribution supports the following initiatives:
- Scholarships: $10,000 directed to the Jodi and Mike Engelstad Nursing Scholarship, helping aspiring nurses overcome financial hurdles and pursue excellence in either the A.S.N. or Practical Nursing Programs
- Ivy Tech Day: $10,000 allocated to power matching and challenge incentives, energizing participation across the Ivy Tech Columbus Service Area
- Enlisted Training Corp (ETC): $5,000 supports travel and promotional efforts for this innovative program championing public and military service
- Technology Access: $25,000 strengthens Ivy Tech’s Loaner Laptop Program, ensuring students have essential tools for academic success
