INDIANAPOLIS – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis has issued a Flood Watch, effective until Monday at 8 p.m., for central and south-central Indiana.
Counties in the Local News Digital area included in the Flood Watch include Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Jennings, Shelby, Decatur, and Brown.
According to NWS, multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected to move across the area during the period, potentially leading to flash flooding.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, streams, creeks, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Individuals in the watch area should be prepared to take action if flooding develops, continue to monitor forecasts, and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
