Kwanzaa is a Swahili word that means "first" and signifies the first fruits of the harvest. It is also celebration of family, community and culture, and honors African heritage. Kwanzaa is observed from December 26 through January 1. After today's program, you are invited to a feast in the Conference Room. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish. Celebration organized by the local NAACP.
