FRANKLIN, Ind. - Beginning Friday, October 30, Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) crews will close the left-turn lane from northbound U.S. 31 to westbound Jefferson Street for center curb construction.
This left-turn movement will remain closed after the work is completed. Additional information will be provided.
Motorists northbound on U.S. 31 who want to head west onto Jefferson Street can use the U-turn location at Banta Street, head south on U.S. 31, and then turn right onto Jefferson Street.
On or after Monday, November 2, crews will close Hospital Road at U.S. 31 to finish median curb work. This closure is expected to take up to three weeks, weather permitting.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. Construction schedules are subject to change.
