FRANKLIN, Ind. — Downtown Franklin is preparing for a busy autumn lineup featuring major community festivals, cultural events, and a statewide conference.
From September 29 through October 2, the City of Franklin will host the Indiana State Main Street and Historic Preservation Conference. The event is expected to bring roughly 400 attendees downtown each day, prompting local officials to coordinate shuttle options and remind visitors of available public parking lots.
The conference follows a series of local weekend events, including the annual Franklin Heritage Home Tour, the Franklin Parks Department Fall Festival, and the Fall Vintage Fest.
Additionally, the Historic Artcraft Theatre and Wild Geese Bookshop announced back-to-back sold-out author events featuring New York Times bestselling authors, drawing visitors from across the region to downtown shops and restaurants.
City officials are also encouraging local business owners and residents to complete an ongoing downtown parking survey to assist with future parking management.
