COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus emergency personnel and city officials were called to the scene of a fatal incident at Mill Race Park on Wednesday, June 24.
Just before 2 p.m., the Columbus Police Department (CPD) and Columbus Fire Department (CFD) responded to a report of an incident at the park's observation tower. Upon arrival, first responders located a deceased individual.
An investigation began surrounding the details of the person’s death. There was never any danger to the public.
During the investigation, Mill Race Park was closed for about two hours.
