Town of Hope tags abandoned vehicles for removal

Courtesy-Hope Police Department

HOPE, Ind. - The Hope Police Department has released its Spring 2026 list of abandoned/inoperable/non-plated vehicles. These cars and trucks were recently tagged for removal, per Hope Town Code 8-69, Article 10, and Indiana I.C. Code 9-13-2-1.

All owners are given 20 days to rectify the issues with the vehicles.

Property owners should call 812-546-4015 if they have any questions or need a recommendation. Local salvage yards will pay owners to pick up non-working vehicles, so you are encouraged to take advantage of their services.

The Town of Hope and the Hope Police Department said, "Thank you to all the residents who have already taken the time to make Hope a more attractive place to live, work, and play."

For a list of the tagged vehicles and the Town and Indiana codes relating to abandoned/inoperable/non-plated cars and trucks, go to the Hope Police Department Facebook page.
