Columbus, IN, USA / QMIX 107.3

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Hope United Methodist Church is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Tuesday, October 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. The Pfizer vaccine will be offered to ages 12 and older, plus the Pfizer booster shot to those who had their second dose more than six months ago.

Local and state health officials continue to strongly urge residents who have not been vaccinated to get the shot. Bartholomew County has seen a gradual increase in the total of vaccinated residents, but health officials would like to see that number climb even higher.

According to the COVID-19 Community Task Force, 53% of Bartholomew County’s population is fully vaccinated against coronavirus. That equates to 44,467 fully vaccinated residents.

On October 6, Bartholomew County reported 38 new positive cases and 33 COVID hospitalizations.
