School and other closings for Tuesday are rolling in

SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. - With roads still snow-covered and frigid temperatures forecast, several schools in south-central Indiana and other local organizations have announced closings on Tuesday, January 27.

Here is the list of schools closed on Tuesday:

  • Bartholomew Consolidated Schools - snow day; it will be up later this year
  • Franklin Community Schools - snow day
  • Flat Rock-Hawcreek Schools - eLearning
  • Seymour Community Schools - eLearning
  • Decatur County Community Schools - snow day; it will be made up on Good Friday
  • Edinburgh Community Schools - eLearning
  • Center Grove Community Schools - eLearning Day
  • Brownstown Central Schools - eLearning
  • Clark-Pleasant Community Schools - eLearning
  • Greensburg Community Schools - eLearning
  • Shelbyville Central Schools - eLearning
  • Nineveh Hensley Jackson-Indiana Creek Schools - eLearning
  • Medora Community Schools
  • Ivy Tech Columbus
  • IU Columbus - operating virtually

Other organizations closed on Tuesday include:

  • Bartholomew County Public Library
  • Columbus Regional Health - outpatient practices/clinics closed; emergency department open
  • Thrive Alliance offices and meal sites
