COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety has approved a contract renewal with The Resiliency Practice LLC to continue providing confidential mental health and counseling services for local police officers.
The program, originally launched in 2025, offers officers an early-intervention avenue for job-related stress before mental health issues impact performance.
Under the agreement, the Columbus Police Department covers up to six confidential sessions per officer each year.
According to Deputy Chief Matt Martindale, the department has seen steady engagement, recording 23 individual sessions scheduled through the program so far in 2026.
