COLUMBUS, Ind. - Columbus Regional Health (CRH) has announced that starting Monday, March 30, it will downgrade its current visitation restrictions on the hospital campus due to a steady decline in viral respiratory rates.

CRH visitation will return to normal operations, meaning visitors age 14 and up are welcome, at the discretion of the patient’s care team and any capacity restraints within the inpatient setting.

However, the following amendments remain in place:

  • Suggested visitation hours remain unchanged
  • Modifications may be made in extenuating circumstances and are at the discretion of unit leadership
  • Visitors may be asked to adhere to all safety precautions, such as wearing masks and/or additional personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed and determined necessary by the patient care team
  • Visitors experiencing symptoms of potentially contagious illness are discouraged from visiting

The following remains in place for the Birthing Center and Women and Children’s:

  • Labor patients may have three designated support persons
  • No one under the age of 14 will be allowed in the Birthing Center, except for siblings of the newborn
  • Visitor hours remain 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with no visitation allowed during Maternal Rest Time (2 to 4 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.)
